Felicity is an English actress who became famous for her portrayal of Jane Hawking, the protagonist of The Theory of Everything. Jones began her acting career at age of 12, and has appeared in several TV plays and films. Jones made her debut as an actress with the TV movie The Treasure Seekers. She then played Ethel Hallow in The Worst Witch followed by the sequel Weirdsister college. In her first film Flashbacks of a Fool she appeared as Young Ruth and went on to be featured in numerous films. In films like The Invisible Woman or The Amazing Spider-Man 2 the actress became popular for her performances. The most notable was the performance she gave as the wife of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything that made her the recipient of an Oscar for the first time. The biopic is based on the biography of the physicist Stephen Hawking, and Jones was widely praised by audiences and reviewers for her impeccable portrayal of Hawking's initial wife. Inferno was her second film, which starred Tom Hanks. Jones was awarded the title British Artist of Year 2016 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles in recognition of her exceptional talent and contributions in the field of cinema.
